A few days ago I got sent a 160 page resource book about Hope 08. 19 chapters written by 22 authors. 20 men, 2 women...and the women both wrote on the same topic - prayer. I'm not really that surprised, but I just would have liked a bit of hope and equality.

Good observation - one of my pet arguments currently.
It is just very hard to get a hearing unless you are in the right place at the right time - and are trusted by someone somewhere.
I have just co-edited a book on leadership and the balance is 4 - 7. Not bad, but I had to fight to get that much.
No wonder my (female) predecessors are ruffled, tired and fesity - and those that aren't are involved in pastoral care!

It's a fair point Ben - but how many women were amongst the people interviewed by Gibbs and Bolger for 'Emerging Churches'.
I think it was two or three, from a pool of more than fifty :(
